Where it all began.

We began by selling flight jackets out of a traveling booth at airshows. Our product offerings have since grown to include books, clothing, and unique adventure and tech gear as well as pilot supplies. Pilots, aspiring pilots and those simply touched with the passion for taking flight will find a wide variety of merchandise, author events, workshops, and classes.

Situated off the legendary runway 16 Right of Van Nuys Airport (VNY) at 7900 Balboa Blvd. Echo 102 in Van Nuys, CA, and online at modaviator.com, Modern Aviator invites you to discover your next adventure. Stop in to chat with a student pilot or instructor, say hello to a science fiction author, and maybe even get a life tip from an astronaut.

 

Upon landing at KVNY, exit Taxiway Alpha 3, and ask ground to taxi to Prop Park Transient. We are just off the lobby in the main red terminal building. You can't miss us.
